Welcome to Brent House and Westonzoyland Surgeries
You are welcome at both Brent House in Bridgwater and at our
branch service in Westonzoyland. Full details of how to
register are available at either surgery. Please contact
reception where you will be asked to fill in a registration
form or bring in your NHS medical card.
We would like to obtain your medical history as soon as
possible so you will be asked to complete a medical
registration form and may be asked to attend an appointment
with the Health Care Assistant. This will enable us to
provide the best possible medical care for you and your
family.
Our aim is to provide friendly, personal and comprehensive
health care for you and your family. We hope that this booklet
will help you to make the best use of our many available
services.
Our main surgery in King Street was built in 1840 and was
bought by the doctors in 1977. It has had a variety of uses
over the years, including a private residence and a school as
depicted in the photos in the waiting room. This Grade II
listed building has been tastefully adapted to our needs, is
computerised and has a lift. The entrance for disabled
patients is through the garden at the back of the building.
The practice has a hearing aid loop installed (and a portable
loop available for use in consulting rooms).
When visiting the surgery you can park your car in the car
park next to St Joseph’s Church, opposite the King Street
entrance to the surgery. You will be asked to record your car
registration number and appointment time at Reception – please
be aware that a clamping system is in operation for rogue
parkers!
The village of Westonzoyland has been served by a doctors’
surgery for over 90 years. The present building was bought by
the doctors in 1990, adapted, modernised and opened in 1991.
It is linked by computer to our main surgery in Bridgwater and
has facilities for the disabled. Car users can use the ample
car park at the rear of the surgery.
